Orchard Gardens Wedding

The Orchard Garden, near Clyde and Alexandra, Central Otago, is another of my favourite wedding venues.

It offers you so you many options and is one of my favourite Central Otago wedding venues for photography.

With the maze, interlinked high hedged gardens, secret wooded pathways, open green space, colourful flower beds and, of course, the iconic Blue Door, Orchard Gardens offers so many choices of space for your ceremony and photos.

The gardens also offer shade and protection from wind plus the indoor Packing Shed for your reception, all these take away any worry of what the weather might do on your wedding day.

And the people at Orchard Gardens are lovely - so accommodating and keen to make your day just as you dreamed it would be. 

I love photographing weddings here and each time discover new gems around the gardens.  

The gardens, as their names sake implies, have been converted from old orchards. The high hedges create a maze and several secret garden rooms for the ceremony, drinks gatherings and photos.

The reception room is in the beaut old fruit packing shed, full of character and warmth.

Bannockburn Church

Just look at that setting surrounded by the Cairnmuir and Carrick mountains, yet easily accessible in a village setting. 

The Church and Hall are directly opposite each other so you and your guests don't need to drive or change locations between wedding and reception.

The Church seats aproximately 60 guests.  You can squeeze in up to 80 at a push!

The Hall holds up to 98 guests.

Bannockburn Church and Hall (or either one - you don't have to book both) are a great option for an informal, relaxed, country style wedding.

If budget is a priority these venues are a great option.

Calvert Vineyard is a beautifully private vineyard to get married in the heart of stunning Bannockburn.  With a view over the vineyard and surrounded by greenery and trees it is calm and peaceful hideaway.  Ideal for small to mid size weddings.  

At 164 Felton Road, Bannockburn, Calvert Vineyard is right in the heart of Pinot Noir country and yet still offers privacy, a beautiful outlook over the vines framed by the Dunstan and Pisa mountain ranges. 

On top of that there's plenty of parking for your guests and the cute East Wing Cottage for overnight stays and to get ready in.

If you're looking for somewhere different for your small to medium size wedding ceremony, somewhere peaceful, private and away from the crowds then Calvert Vineyard is a wonderful choice.   

Calvert Vineyard is great for your ceremony but does not have a reception venue but is close to Mt Difficulty, Carrick Winery and The Bannockburn Hotel in Bannockburn that offer great options for your reception as well as reception venues in Cromwell.

Calvert Vineyard offers beautiful photo spots under the trees and by the small lake and is also opposite the Bannockburn Sluicings, with its dramatic photo opportunities.
